For several years now, I have been cultivating the olive tree with true respect for the environment, predominantly looking after the health of my trees.
Seven Olea Extra Virgin Olive Oil is now organic with a health claim. I am working towards creating an establishing an optimal way of oil extraction through a model olive mill unit and further upgrade my olive oil by putting in use the old traditional ways of olive oil production with modern techniques and the knowledge-base from my studies at the Department of Agriculture of the Hellenic Mediterranean University.
I have successfully completed my basic studies in Business Administration and my master’s degree in economics. I want to contribute to the change of the status quo of the olive oil market by giving a leading role to the producer. It is no longer enough for me to have others determine the labours of my harvest. In the end, as a producer, I must make everything possible to give the market a unique olive oil.

From early on in my life I observed the transformation of the fruit into olive oil, by watching my father at the olive mill. This legacy together with the knowledge and determination to showcase my product, helped me identify issues and work towards further improving its quality.
I have watched the village olive oil producers choosing the right olive mill for their olives or "reading" the weather signs to try to predict the yield of their crop, worrying about the olive fly and its impact on that year’s quality of their production. The most heated debates were on the year’s price of the yield in the market determined by the wholesalers.

SEVEN OLEA WILL BECOME THE MOST ESSENTIAL ELEMENT OF YOUR DIET
Seven Olea family business was founded 2013, in the town of Arkalohori, Crete.
I came up with the name "Seven Olea" from an international study of 7 population groups from different countries (Greece, USA, Italy, Serbia, Japan, Holland and Finland) to determine the relation and possible impact of olive oil to cardiovascular conditions. The study revealed that the population from our region had benefited the most due to the extended use of the Cretan diet that is based on olive oil.
The cultivation of the olive grove and the production of extra virgin organic olive oil with health claims entails an holistic approach of the environment and the olive tree microclimate. At all stages of the production process, we follow mild methods that protect nature and enhance the health of the olive trees.
